Pazo de Monterrey 2016 has obtained the gold medal at the Mundus Vini International Awards, organised in Germany and whose results have just been made public. These awards are one of the most prestigious internationally, and it is especially relevant in central European countries.
This medal endorses the quality of this wine, which expresses the essence of the Mediterranean and Atlantic characteristics present in the Verín Valley, located in the denomination of Origin Monterrei. This wine has been a great unknown for a long time in Galicia, but which is showing its enormous potential, especially together with the Godello variety.
The 2016 vintage of Pazo de Monterrey Godello stands out for the grape’s characteristic freshness, and it especially highlights the fruity and white flower aromas, making it an elegant and fresh wine that is perfectly paired with white fish, seafood or Asian dishes.
